Strand7 Maintenance & Support


Strand7 support contract is renewable annually and coincides with the initial contract purchase date.

The contract for supported users includes the following:

  • Regular software updates, newly released versions and patches, all downloadable from the www.Strand7.com web site. A log on password is required. Please e-mail dagmar@ally.co.za should you have misplaced your log on details.
  • Access to a full suite of Webnotes, updated on a regular basis. Strand7 Webnotes are a comprehensive online library of resource materials covering Strand7 modelling, application, usage and installation, plus general background and theory of FEA.
  • IT support – setting up, installation, drivers, etc.
  • Engineering/Finite element support – including the use of the programme and advice on modelling.  (Strand7 does however reserve the right to judge when support becomes consulting).
  • The first line of support will be offered by the local support team. Complex issues will be referred to Strand7 when necessary. Support will be conducted telephonically, by fax or electronically.
  • Consulting/Design services are offered at an hourly rate or a previously agreed upon sum.  Please contact us at William@ally.co.za.
